Adversary Air

Created in an effort to bring cost-effective training support to the Benelux countries and the Nordics, the AEC SKYLINE-TOP ACES team fields a large number of second to none adversary air (or “red air”) assets piloted by highly qualified, former fighter pilots. This unique combination allows us to replicate the latest near-peer air-to-air threat, at scale.
Many of our cutting edge ADAIR platforms feature the open architecture Advanced Aggressor Mission System (AAMS) which includes a modern Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar, Infrared Search and Track (IRST) sensor systems combined with Helmet Mounted Cueing System (HMCS) and tactical datalink capability. An advanced electronic attack pod can also be added.

A-4/Alpha jet

In cooperation with our esteemed strategic contract air partner, TOP ACES, AEC SKYLINE offers the trusted A-4 and Alpha Jet as adversary air training tools. Since entering service with our partner, both these types of single jet aircraft have undergone an impressive upgrade programme and several of them are available in the Northwestern European theatre. When equipped with the latest mission systems that are part of TOP ACES’ proprietary AAMS suite, our team’s ADAIR training aircraft are capable of simulating the advanced capabilities of contemporary near-peer air-to-air combat opponents.

F-16 Fighting Falcon

Also known as Viper, the single engined, supersonic F-16 remains one of the world’s most iconic fighter aircraft and is still being used in large numbers around the world. However, TOP ACES is unique in being the sole private company that operates the mighty F-16 for contract air purposes, albeit with operations still being confined to North America.
By integrating the AAMS suite with its up to date, 5th Generation mission systems, TOP ACES has turned its F-16s into proper 4.5 Gen combat aircraft while at the same time keeping the renowned agility of the legacy Viper. Furthermore, these F-16s are air-to-air refuelling capable, thereby further enhancing their training value during large force employment exercises.
