Turnkey Contract Air Services

Operating a growing fleet of high performance aircraft equipped with state-of-the-art mission systems, AEC SKYLINE provides a comprehensive range of specialist contract air services including JTAC, electronic warfare and adversary training combined with target towing, remote sensing and calibration and testing, thereby serving various armed forces and public security organisations.

Capabilities

JTAC Training

AEC SKYLINE has extensive experience in providing Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) training including Digitally Aided Close Air Support (DACAS) and “hot” controls. The company’s high performance aircraft and their proficient crews routinely support both advanced and currency training of aspiring air controllers and JTAC graduates, respectively, operating in support of various Air Ground Operations Schools and active duty units both at home and abroad.

Electronic Warfare Training

As (near) peer adversaries aim to deny the electromagnetic spectrum, EW training is increasingly an essential part of any modern, realistic battlefield training. Applicable to a wide variety of scenarios, from counter insurgency to major combat, it is becoming ever more complex. Hence, the need for EW expertise as provided by AEC SKYLINE.
AEC SKYLINE’s aircraft are thus equipped for live EW training, more specifically for degrading the effectiveness of radar and radio systems by using radar jamming and deception methods.

Adversary training

Today’s armed forces require a highly sophisticated training opponent to challenge their  5th Generation equipped fighter squadrons. The same requirement applies to helicopter and fixed-wing transport units. The AEC SKYLINE-TOP ACES team now fills that void as it possesses second to none adversary air assets capable of replicating near-peer threat aircraft. Many of these ADAIR platforms are equipped with the latest AESA radar, IRST sensor systems.
When flying simulated attack manoeuvres during ship anti-air warfare (AAW), integrated air & missile defence (IAMD) and other scenarios, the crews piloting our aircraft show they are perfectly capable of replicating those platforms and TTPs that are being used by potential opponents.

Target towing

AEC SKYLINE’s multi-purpose Learjet provides target towing services for Close in Weapon Systems, gun and missile training. With over 25 years of practice in target towing, AEC SKYLINE can rightly claim it is highly experienced with regard to delivering this specific, specialised kind of training.
All aerial targets used by the company are optimised to provide effective live fire practice for surface-to-air systems, or for testing purposes. Depending on exact customer requirements, a wide range of targets can be provided. In addition, AEC SKYLINE nowadays also produces the Missile Radar Target (MTR) series of radar augmented aerial targets.

Remote Sensing

AEC SKYLINE operates various modern aerial data collection platforms, including manned and surrogate unmanned systems, that provide advanced remote sensing (or ISR) capabilities while collecting, processing, disseminating, storing, and maintaining all kinds of data including KLV- metadata, both for military, homeland security and public security purposes.
Sensors include electro-optical infra-red (EO/IR) full motion video (FMV), LIDAR, synthetic aperture radar (SAR), multispectral and hyperspectral imagery (MSI/HSI), wide area motion imagery (WAMI), signals intelligence (SIGINT), etc. AEC SKYLINE also fields its own versatile mobile ground control station (MCGS) while aerial filming and photography using our aircraft can also be facilitated.

Calibration & Testing

With its high performance aircraft AEC SKYLINE is frequently involved in the provision of radar tracking and calibration services, testing of the latest EO/IR tracking equipment, mostly on behalf of OEMs that develop and produce such advanced systems.
The company also operates a dedicated testbed aircraft which is used to support various innovative trials conducted by some of the Netherlands’ most distinguished research institutes and/or the military.
