Under contract with the Netherlands MoD and the United States Air Forces in Europe, AEC SKYLINE has a proven track record of over 30 years of successfully providing contract air support to a wide range of customers including various actors in the the defence industry and a number of renowned research institutes. Under the leadership of CEO Stef Have the company has expanded by becoming official reseller for a growing series of OEMs involved in developing and producing modern, gamechanging C4ISR related technologies. AEC SKYLINE has also become a vital partner for many industrial companies and government customers given its thorough systems integration expertise.
When supporting exercises or operations AEC SKYLINE strives to integrate fully with the end user, so during planning, preparation, execution and evaluation of any given mission which the company might be required to support. AEC SKYLINE’s team consists of highly trained and motivated personnel, mostly former military, including a number of former RNLAF weapons instructor trained combat aircraft pilots and JTAC qualified servicemen. In order to work with classified information, all of AEC SKYLINE’s staff are vetted after which they obtain the right security clearance.
Same goes for AEC SKYLINE’s critical data solutions personnel who combine recent and relevant operational experience with extensive IT expertise. Driven by an innovative vision, this particular business unit focuses on creating effective, cutting-edge solutions including but not limited to cloud, cybersecurity and interoperability enhancing technologies, both for the defence and the public security sectors.

History
AEC SKYLINE is the go-to partner when it comes to providing specialist contract air support. For over 30 years various customers have come to rely on the company’s wide range of services. While its range of C4ISR & Cyber related activities continues to expand steadily, the company remains the Netherlands MoD’s preferred contract air supplier, having operated under a successive series of multiyear contracts and extensions since its foundation.

Acquired by the Forum Group
In 2010 SKYLINE AVIATION is acquired by the FORUM GROUP owned by former RNLAF AH-64 pilot Stef Have and over time merges with AEC AIR SUPPORT, the group’s dedicated ISR business unit, under the joint AEC SKYLINE banner. In addition to SKYLINE AVIATION and AEC AIR SUPPORT, the FORUM GROUP also includes Breda International Airport located in the south of the Netherlands which is home to AEC AIR SUPPORT and its growing range of ISR and subsequent C4ISR & Cyber related activities.

Under contract with USAFE
Operating out of Zweibrücken airport in Germany under a permit issued by German authorities, AEC SKYLINE’s contract air fleet starts supporting Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) Close Air Support (CAS) training on behalf of the United States Air Force in Europe (USAFE) in 2021.

Teaming with Top Aces
During the 2023 NIDV Exhibition Defence & Security AEC SKYLINE announces various exciting new partnerships. Chief among these is the cooperation with TOP ACES, a leader in ADAIR and JTAC technology that is active in North America and in Europe. It has the largest fleet of commercially operated fighter aircraft in active service and is the world’s only commercial owner/operator of the F-16.

Growing C4ISR portfolio
In April 2024 AEC AIR SUPPORT is revamped into SKYLINE CDS – for Critical Data Solutions. The name change better reflects the growing range of activities that are performed by AEC SKYLINE’s dedicated C4ISR & Cyber division including the provision of specialised systems integration expertise, cloud solutions and technologies aimed at optimising C4I interoperability and standardisation.

Memberships & Certifications
AEC Skyline is a trusted member of the NIDV, the Netherlands Industries for Defence & Security trade association which promotes involvement of its members in the design, development, production, maintenance of defence and security equipment, plus related services.
AEC Skyline is also a proud member of the Netherlands Aerospace Group (NAG), the trade association for national and international organisations established in the Netherlands that are active in aerospace and airport development.
AEC Skyline is officially accredited by the Netherlands Military Aviation Authority as regards MAR-OPS 1&2, MAR-M and MAR 145. These three certificates form the basis for all other received documents and notes.
