Target Towing, Testing & Tailored Air Services
AEC SKYLINE provides target towing and calibration & testing services for various applications. All aerial targets used by the company are optimised to provide effective live fire practice. Depending on customer requirements, a wide range of targets can be provided including the versatile MTR series which is nowadays produced in-house.
Through its calibration & testing services AEC SKYLINE also routinely provides specialist contract air support to radar manufacturers and research centres, among others, while, on request, the company can also supply various means of customised air support.

LearJet 36A
Powered by two turbofan engines, AEC SKYLINE’s Learjet 36A is a multi-purpose platform that is designed for long range mission capability. A true workhorse, the company’s Learjet has two underwing hardpoints, thereby allowing it to carry a wide range of target towing equipment (RM-30, LTC-2/6 etc.).
This high performance aircraft features a modern mission software suite as part of its avionics architecture. An onboard multifunctional rack is available for any specific equipment that might be needed by the aircraft’s onboard sensor operators.
GA8 Airvan
Designed for practicality and versatility, AEC SKYLINE’s GA8 can be configured for a large variety of missions. A wide array of sensors and communications equipment can be installed, making this single engined aircraft ideally suited, among others, as an aerial testbed or for homeland security purposes.
Recent taskings include missions in support of various innovation schemes conducted by a renowned Dutch research institute in conjunction with the military.
Mobile Ground Control Station
In support of remote sensing missions or for testing purposes, AEC SKYLINE offers a dedicated, fully furnished Mobile Ground Control Station (MGCS) that can be tailored to meet specific customer requirements. This vehicle based system is equipped with a modern (Beyond) Line Of Sight ((B)LOS) communications suite, server rack, HD monitors and extendable, telescopic masts while further equipment can be added.
Aerial targets
AEC SKYLINE produces the Missile Radar Target (MTR) series of modular aerial targets. These are built of high-strength composite materials and inherently have a very low radar cross section. By employing radar reflectors, this allows the same target airframe to operate in both large and low RCS tracking scenarios without the need for expensive radar absorbent material treatments.
Typical applications include air-to-air and surface-to-air tracking, guidance, gunnery training, and ranging. Furthermore, the MRT-2000 version is compatible with all major towing reel systems (RM-30, MTR-101 etc) and is adaptable to active/electronic warfare (EW) and scoring payloads.
Customised air support
Given its widespread network of trusted partners in the aerospace industry, AEC SKYLINE is able to provide various, additional means of professional and cost-effective contract air support, in support of testing or for other purposes. This means, on request, the company can also supply rotary wing support, aerial relay, aerial photography, and forest fire detection assets together with a wide array of surveillance capabilities. Specific assets for Non-Standard Aviation (NSAV) intra theatre airlift taskings including the provision of air drop capability can also be made available, not just in Europe but elsewhere across the globe too.
